Your new roleYou will be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights). In this role, you will:

    \n
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of plant and equipment
  • \n
  • Respond to breakdowns efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • \n
  • Support equipment reliability and availability through effective maintenance practices
  • \n
  • Identify and report spare parts requirements
  • \n
  • Work in line with safe systems of work, SOPs and risk assessments
  • \n
  • Contribute to a multi-skilled engineering team and undertake further training where required
  • \n
\n

What you'll need to succeedYou will bring a strong electrical engineering background and:

    \n
  • A qualification to ONC level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • \n
  • Experience working with control systems, including PLCs
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams
  • \n
  • Experience of motors and variable speed drives
  • \n
  • A proactive and safety-focused approach to maintenance
  • \n
  • Willingness to develop multi-skilled capabilities
  • \n
  • A full UK driving licence
  • \n
  • Experience with container handling or crane equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • \n
