Shift Support Operative

Our client is seeking a Shift Support Operative to join their on-site engineering team at a major manufacturing facility in Broughton, near Chester. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract role with the potential for future career development.

Working alongside a skilled engineering team, you will play a key role in supporting the maintenance and operation of a large fleet of cranes and lifting equipment. You'll ensure engineers have the tools, equipment and support needed to carry out their duties safely and efficiently.

• Supporting engineering teams with daily maintenance activities.
\n
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance.
\n
• Operating MEWPs, vans and other site vehicles safely.
\n
• Carrying out banksman duties and managing work area cordons.
\n
• Managing stores activities, including booking stock and spare parts in and out.
\n
• Assisting with inventory control and stock management.
\n
• Working closely with colleagues and the customer to ensure smooth operations.
\n

• Experience working within a manufacturing, factory or industrial environment.
\n
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
\n
• Excellent communication skills.
\n
• Good organisational and time management abilities.
\n
• Team-player mentality with a proactive approach.
\n
• Full UK driving licence.
\n
• Right to work in the UK.
\n

\n
• Previous banksman or safety-critical experience.
\n
• Experience using stock management systems.
\n
• IPAF certification (3A/3B).
\n
• Forklift Truck (FLT) experience.
\n

\n
• Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 (+ Overtime).
\n
• 39-hour week on a 4 on / 6 off rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights).
\n
