Interim Management Accountant

Interim Management Accountant – Rotherham – £45,000-£50,000 Chase & Holland are exclusively recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a successful and growing manufacturing business on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to support a well-established organisation during a busy period. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, budgeting and forecasting activities, and financial controls. Working closely with colleagues across the finance function, you will help ensure the efficient delivery of departmental objectives while providing valuable financial insight to support the business.Key Responsibilities\n

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Lead the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments and journal postings
\n
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning activities
\n
• Analyse business performance and provide meaningful financial insight to support decision-making
\n
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements
\n
• Support year-end audit activities, VAT returns and financial controls
\n
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and workload management for a small finance team
\n
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting
\n

About You\n

\n
• Qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA, or strong QBE experience
\n
• Previous experience as a Management Accountant within a fast-paced environment
\n
• Strong management accounts, budgeting and forecasting experience
\n
• IT literate with experience using ERP systems and Excel
\n
• Previous experience leading or supervising a small team
\n
• A collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
\n
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
\n
• Available to commit to a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the ability to start at short notice being advantageous
