The Opportunity\nA well-established and growing organisation is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, producing insightful management information, and supporting operational decision-making. Working closely with senior finance leaders, you will play a key role in the production of monthly accounts, forecasting, business planning, financial analysis, and performance reporting. The organisation offers a flexible hybrid working model with 2-3 days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other journals. \n
- Production of income and expenditure reports and ensuring integrity of the financial ledger. \n
- Assisting with annual budgets, reforecasts and longer-term business planning activities. \n
- Providing detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. \n
- Investigating variances and producing meaningful commentary for budget holders and senior management. \n
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). \n
- Supporting the development of dashboards and management reporting tools. \n
- Assisting with financial modelling, forecasting and business case preparation. \n
- Producing ad-hoc financial analysis, costings and reports as required. \n
- Calculating and posting monthly accounting transactions. \n
- Supporting project teams with robust financial information and commercial insight. \n
- Assisting with recharge processes, invoicing and maintaining accurate financial records. \n
- Supporting the Financial Controller in delivering key finance objectives and reporting requirements. \n
To be successful in this role, you will be:

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. \n
- An experienced Management Accountant with strong month-end accounting expertise. \n
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and financial analysis. \n
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information. \n
- Comfortable influencing and collaborating with non-finance stakeholders. \n
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. \n
- Self-motivated, organised and capable of working both independently and as part of a wider finance team \n
- Key Experience: \n
- Exposure to labour cost reporting, workforce planning or staff cost analysis. \n
- Experience supporting operational teams through business partnering and performance reporting. \n
