We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join a growing Housing Association and support the delivery of an effective, compliant and value-driven procurement service. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will assist with procurement activities across a range of categories, support contract management processes and work closely with stakeholders to ensure procurement delivers value for money and high levels of service. Procurement Officer General Responsibilities:\n

  • Support end-to-end procurement exercises from sourcing through to contract award
  • \n
  • Assist in developing procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives
  • \n
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement guidance
  • \n
  • Support supplier negotiations and ensure best value outcomes are achieved
  • \n
  • Maintain procurement records, contract registers and supporting documentation
  • \n
  • Assist with supplier performance monitoring and contract management activities
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, governance requirements and internal policies
  • \n
  • Produce procurement reports, spend analysis and market research to support decision-making
  • \n
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes
  • \n
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • \n
Procurement Officer Ideal Candidate:\n
    \n
  • Previous procurement experience within a public sector, housing association or regulated environment
  • \n
  • Understanding of procurement legislation and best practice
  • \n
  • Experience supporting tender exercises and contract management activities
  • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • \n
  • Good commercial awareness and analytical capability
  • \n
  • Experience using procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • \n
  • Working towards or interested in pursuing a CIPS qualification would be advantageous
  • \n
