A well-established and growing engineering manufacturer within the ventilation sector is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their workshop team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist business producing bespoke equipment for both new build and refurbishment projects.

The Role

Working within a small, skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for the manufacture of bespoke ventilation and air handling components.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manufacturing bespoke ductwork, silencers, plenums, and air handling components
\n
• Working with galvanised sheet metal (typically 0.9mm – 3.0mm)
\n
• Operating machinery including hydraulic presses and cutting equipment
\n
• Interpreting technical drawings and fabrication sketches
\n
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
\n
• Maintaining strong health and safety practices at all times
\n
• Liaising with the workshop supervisor and wider team
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n
• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator within a relevant industry
\n
• Experience working with galvanised sheet metal
\n
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
\n
• Good practical skills and attention to detail
\n
• Physically capable of handling materials and tools
\n
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively within a team
\n
• Basic maths skills
\n

• Hourly rate: £14.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
\n
• Full-time, permanent position

Working Hours

\n
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
\n
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
