Interim Financial Controller

**Interim Financial Controller (2 Month Contract) – Umberleigh – salary up to £55,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be assisting a long-established and highly successful North Devon business with the recruitment of an Interim Financial Controller to provide support during a period of transition. This is a hands-on role that will play a key part in maintaining the smooth running of the finance function over a two-month period.

Working closely with the senior leadership team and the head office, the successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day finance operation whilst ensuring accurate reporting, effective financial controls and continued support to the wider business.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting

* Cashflow monitoring, forecasting and management

* Balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews

* Budget monitoring and variance analysis

* Overseeing transactional finance processes

* Supporting payroll and statutory reporting requirements

* Liaising with external accountants and auditors as required

* Providing financial insight and support to senior management

* Identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate

This role would suit an experienced Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be capable of quickly understanding existing processes, building credibility with stakeholders and providing immediate support with minimal supervision.

The assignment is expected to last approximately two months and is fully office-based in Umberleigh. Candidates available at short notice or immediately available will be particularly well received.
