- Coordinate and process payroll data across 25 UK locations. \n
- Validate payroll inputs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. \n
- Liaise with managers and stakeholders to collect payroll information. \n
- Support the Payroll Manager with monthly payroll activities. \n
- Work closely with an outsourced payroll provider to ensure smooth delivery. \n
- Maintain accurate payroll records and robust audit trails. \n
- Process starters, leavers, salary changes and variable pay data. \n
- Investigate and resolve payroll queries in a timely manner. \n
- Reconcile payroll reports and identify discrepancies for correction. \n
- Utilise Excel and payroll systems to analyse and manage payroll data. \n
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and internal policies. \n
- Contribute to payroll process improvements and system enhancements. \n
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion and accuracy. \n
- Monitor payroll deadlines and support the successful completion of payroll cycles. \n
- Provide administrative support to the wider payroll function as required. \n
Profile
\nA successful Payroll Administrator should have:

- Previous payroll administration experience within a busy payroll environment. \n
- Experience processing payroll across multiple sites or business units. \n
- Strong understanding of UK payroll processes, including starters and leavers. \n
- Confident user of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel. \n
- Excellent attention to detail with strong data validation skills. \n
- Ability to reconcile payroll information accurately and efficiently. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines. \n
- Effective communicator with the confidence to liaise with multiple stakeholders. \n
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion. \n
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and query resolution. \n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight payroll deadlines. \n
- Team player who can build strong working relationships across the business. \n
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers would be advantageous. \n
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and audit trail requirements is desirable. \n
- Immediately available or available at short notice preferred. \n
