About the Role\n

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Tenancy Support Worker to join a supportive housing team in Northfield, Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in housing, tenancy management, support services, or adult social care who is passionate about helping residents maintain stable and successful tenancies.

Working within the Adult Social Care framework, you will play a key role in supporting residents, managing tenancy-related matters, and promoting positive outcomes within the community.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousing & Support\n

  • Deliver housing support in line with Adult Social Care guidelines.
  • \n
  • Process housing applications and assist residents through the housing pathway.
  • \n
  • Carry out property inspections and void checks to ensure accommodation standards are maintained.
  • \n
  • Support residents in achieving greater independence and tenancy sustainability.
  • \n
Income Management\n
    \n
  • Assist with rent collection and income recovery processes.
  • \n
  • Support the management of rent arrears and payment plans.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate tenant records using internal housing management systems.
  • \n
  • Ensure all documentation and case notes are up to date and compliant.
  • \n
Resident Welfare\n
    \n
  • Respond to resident concerns and tenancy-related issues.
  • \n
  • Investigate and help resolve incidents of anti-social behaviour.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to safeguard resident wellbeing.
  • \n
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
  • \n
What We're Looking For\n
    \n
  • Experience within housing, tenancy support, homelessness services, adult social care, or a related field.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise workload effectively.
  • \n
  • Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • \n
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • \n
Working Pattern\n

Shift rotation between:

    \n
  • 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • \n
  • 12:00pm – 8:00pm
  • \n
\n

Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
