We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice looking for a Senior Accountant to support a diverse range of SME clients. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, giving you exposure to accounts preparation, tax compliance, VAT and client advisory work. The Role As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients, building strong relationships while ensuring accounts and tax work are delivered accurately and on time. • Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
\n
• Preparing and submitting Corporation Tax and Self Assessment tax returns
\n
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
\n
• Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors
\n
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and preparing management information where required
\n
• Advising clients on day-to-day accounting and tax matters
\n
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
\n
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
\n
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory deadlines
\n

About You\n

\n
• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential
\n
• Confident preparing accounts from trial balance through to final accounts
\n
• Good understanding of Corporation Tax, Personal Tax and VAT
\n
• Experience managing client relationships
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
\n
• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
\n
