Job Description
Administrator - FTC - minimum of 3 months
\nMy client, a local council, is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administrator to support the day-to-day operations and its community services.
\nThis varied role involves providing administrative support, managing bookings for council-owned venues and assets, assisting with market administration, supporting council communications through social media and the website, and delivering excellent customer service to residents, visitors, councillors, and external organisations.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Act as a first point of contact for enquiries via phone, email, and in person. \n
- Provide administrative support to the Town Clerk and Deputy Clerk. \n
- Manage bookings for council venues, facilities, and community assets. \n
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and council teams to support events and venue hire. \n
- Assist with social media content and website updates. \n
- Administer market trader bookings and maintain compliance records. \n
- Support the management of the Boatfloat and other council services as required. \n
- Assist with Council and Committee administration, including providing cover when needed. \n
- Undertake a range of general office and clerical duties. \n
About You
\nYou will have:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Experience in an administrative or office-based role. \n
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. \n
- Experience updating websites (WordPress) and creating social media content. \n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
Desirable

- Experience within local government or the public sector. \n
- Knowledge of the Dartmouth area. \n
- Experience dealing with members of the public in a professional environment. \n
