Are you currently studying towards ACA or ACCA and looking for a role where you'll gain greater responsibility, develop your client management skills and continue progressing your career within a supportive accountancy practice?

We're working with a highly regarded and expanding firm of Chartered Accountants that is looking to strengthen its accounts and tax team with the appointment of an ambitious Accounts & Tax Senior.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who has gained experience within a UK accountancy practice and is looking to broaden their technical knowledge whilst working closely with experienced Managers and Partners.

About the Role\n

You'll become an integral member of the team, working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies and entrepreneurial clients across a range of sectors. The role offers an excellent mix of accounts preparation, tax compliance and client interaction, together with genuine opportunities to develop into a future managerial position.

While the role is primarily based from the firm's London office, occasional travel to the Tunbridge Wells office may be required. Hybrid working is available following a successful probation period.

Your Responsibilities\n

As part of a collaborative and experienced team you'll be involved in:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • \n
  • Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
  • \n
  • Producing management accounts and financial reports.
  • \n
  • Working directly with clients to answer queries and provide day-to-day support.
  • \n
  • Supporting Managers with client portfolio administration and deadlines.
  • \n
  • Reviewing bookkeeping records and identifying areas requiring attention.
  • \n
  • Assisting with HMRC submissions and statutory compliance.
  • \n
  • Supporting trainees and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
  • \n
  • Becoming involved in advisory assignments as your experience develops.
  • \n
About You\n

We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and are currently studying towards ACA or ACCA, or who are qualified by experience.

\n

You'll enjoy building client relationships, have strong organisational skills and be keen to continue developing your technical expertise within a progressive firm.

\n

Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar systems would be advantageous.
