OverviewPertemps are currently recruiting for Test Engineers on behalf of Edwards Vacuum based in Clevedon.This role will support the testing, validation, and fault-finding of advanced vacuum systems and associated equipment. You will be responsible for carrying out functional and performance testing, diagnosing faults, analysing test data, and ensuring products meet the required quality and performance standards prior to customer delivery.Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams, you will play a key role in supporting new product introduction, continuous improvement activities, and maintaining Edwards Vacuum's high standards of quality and reliability.Key Responsibilities\n

• Testing & Engineering Duties
\n

\n

\n
• Carry out functional and performance testing of vacuum systems and assemblies
\n
• Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation, and measurement systems
\n
• Perform fault finding and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system issues
\n
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
\n
• Record, analyse, and report test results accurately
\n
• Complete test procedures and documentation in line with company standards
\n
• Support product validation and qualification activities
\n
• Identify root causes of failures and support corrective actions
\n
• Assist with improvements to test methods, processes, and equipment
\n
• Ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance requirements
\n

Skills & ExperienceEssential\n

• Previous experience in an engineering test, manufacturing, or production environment
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
\n
• Experience with fault finding and problem solving
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
\n
• Ability to analyse technical information and test results
\n
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
\n

Desirable\n

\n
• Experience testing mechanical, electrical, or vacuum systems
\n
• Knowledge of pressure testing, leak testing, or vacuum technology
\n
• Experience using test equipment and measurement instrumentation
\n
• Experience with data analysis or automated test systems
\n
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls
