HGV Class 2 Driver – Full Time

We are seeking a dependable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client’s team based in the Hatfield area. Key Responsibilities

• Safely and punctually deliver goods to a variety of destinations, including stores, residential addresses, and construction sites.
\n
• Assist with the loading and unloading of the vehicle as required.
\n
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
\n
• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner during client interactions.
\n
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
\n
• Demonstrate flexibility and dedication to completing assigned routes efficiently and safely.
\n

Candidate Requirements

\n
• At least 12 months’ recent experience driving an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
\n
• Valid UK Driving Licence, full CPC qualification, and a DIGI tachograph card.
\n
• Capability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
\n
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable demeanour.
\n
• No more than six penalty points on licence; endorsements such as DR, DD, or IN are not accepted.
\n
• Possession of appropriate PPE, including high-visibility clothing and safety boots.
\n

Employment Details & Remuneration

\n
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 07:30, totalling 47.5 hours per week; no weekend work.
\n
• Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
\n
• Free on-site parking available.
\n
• Location: Hatfield.
\n
• Contract: Permanent, full-time position.
