\nAn established financial planning firm is looking for an experienced Senior Client Account Manager to join its London team.
\nThis is a senior, hands-on role for someone who has strong IFA administration experience, excellent organisation skills and the confidence to support both advisers and a small team.
\nYou will work closely with senior financial advisers, supporting their client relationships and making sure the day-to-day administration, client communication and follow-through are handled to a high standard.
\nYou will also help lead a small team of Client Account Managers / Administrators, setting the standard for quality, accuracy and client service.

This is a “player-coach” position. You will still be involved in the work yourself, but you will also support, guide and develop the people around you.
\nYou will be responsible for:
\n- \n
- Providing senior administrative support to two financial advisers and their clients \n
- Managing pre- and post-sales administration \n
- Building strong relationships with clients and keeping them updated throughout the advice process \n
- Taking ownership of more complex or sensitive cases \n
- Supporting a small team of Client Account Managers / Administrators \n
- Running regular team meetings and helping keep workload on track \n
- Supporting team development, training and one-to-ones \n
- Preparing accurate documentation, reports and client correspondence \n
- Making sure processes are followed and deadlines are met \n
- Using CRM systems and client portals effectively \n
- Working in line with FCA, GDPR, MiFID II and PRIIPs requirements \n
You will need previous experience working in an IFA, wealth management or financial planning firm.
\nThe ideal person will have:
\n- \n
- 7-10 years’ experience in financial planning administration, client support or client account management \n
- Strong knowledge of IFA administration and adviser support \n
- Experience supporting clients directly, not just processing tasks \n
- Experience mentoring, supervising or leading others \n
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail \n
- Strong communication skills and a calm, professional manner \n
- Confidence using systems such as CRM platforms, Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe \n
- A good working knowledge of pensions, investments, ISAs, bonds and protection \n
- Awareness of FCA regulations and compliance requirements \n
Formal industry qualifications are supported and encouraged, but they are not essential. Experience, attitude and capability are more important for this role.
