A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Newton Abbot. Due to ongoing expansion within the tax department, the firm is seeking a confident and proactive tax professional to manage a varied client portfolio and work closely with senior leadership.

This is a fully office-based, client-facing role offering variety, progression, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

    Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients

    • \n
  • \n

    Lead on corporation tax compliance, reviews, and advisory work

    • \n
  • \n

    Provide high-quality tax advice across a range of sectors and business sizes

    • \n
  • \n

    Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear and proactive guidance

    • \n
  • \n

    Support Partners with complex queries, planning, and strategic tax matters

    • \n
  • \n

    Review work prepared by junior members of the team and offer mentorship

    • \n
  • \n

    Ensure all filings, submissions, and HMRC correspondence are completed accurately and on time

    • \n
  • \n

    Identify tax-saving opportunities and suggest added-value services

    • \n
  • \n

    Support in developing and strengthening the firm’s tax offering

    • \n
About You\n
    \n
  • \n

    Strong experience in corporate tax is essential

    • \n
  • \n

    Background in an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm

    • \n
  • \n

    Excellent communicator, comfortable in a client-facing role

    • \n
  • \n

    High attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and ability to problem-solve

    • \n
  • \n

    Able to work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders

    • \n
  • \n

    Qualified CTA / ATT / QBE – or a highly experienced Senior ready for progression

    • \n
