Finance Manager

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager position with responsibility for leading a small finance team and overseeing the day-to-day finance function. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in financial reporting, business planning and operational decision-making. • Lead the day-to-day running of the finance department.

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
\n
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior management.
\n
• Attend management meetings and contribute to business planning and strategic decision-making.
\n
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
\n
• Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
\n
• Oversee cash flow management, credit control and working capital.
\n
• Produce financial analysis to support stock control and operational performance.
\n
• Manage the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
\n
• Oversee the monthly payroll process.
\n
• Manage relationships with external providers, including pensions, insurance, utilities, IT and telecommunications.
\n
• Negotiate and manage a range of supplier contracts.
\n

Candidate profile:\n

\n
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
\n
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
\n
• Experience leading or supervising a finance team.
\n
• Commercially minded with the confidence to support senior management.
\n
• Hands-on approach with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
\n
• Excellent systems and Excel skil
