- £28.19 per hour (Umbrella) \n
Start Date: Week commencing 29th June 2026 Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Project-Based) Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

\nWe are seeking 3 motivated and organised individuals to join a Local Authority Housing Team in Wembley, supporting a key social housing project. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to develop experience in housing—even if you don’t come from a housing background.
\n? The Role
\nAs a Social Housing Assessment & Lettings Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting residents through the housing process and ensuring fair and efficient allocation of social housing.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Assessing housing applications and undertaking applicant verifications \n
- Conducting home visits and organising medical assessments \n
- Notifying applicants of their housing priority status \n
- Managing and maintaining accurate housing application records \n
- Supporting the administration of the choice-based lettings service \n
- Prioritising applicants for property viewings and offers \n
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email \n
- Organising the advertisement of available properties \n
- Helping manage applicant expectations and promote best use of housing stock \n
What We’re Looking For
\nHousing experience is not essential— we’re looking for candidates with the right skills and mindset:
\nStrong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Confident using IT systems including:

- Spreadsheets \n
- Databases \n
- Email and digital communication tools Customer-focused with the ability to provide clear guidance and advice \n
