Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior
Job Description

\nI'm working with a highly personable Top 100 accountancy firm that is looking to appoint an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior into its Central London office.
\nThis is a strong opportunity for a part-qualified ACA or ACCA accountant who wants to build a broad general practice skill set across accounts, audit and tax, rather than being pushed into a narrow specialism too early.
\nThe role will be approximately 70-80% accounts focused, but you must have some experience across both accounts and audit. Tax exposure would also be useful, as this is one of the few larger general practitioner firms remaining, with staff continuing to gain experience across all three areas.

Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102
\n - \n
Preparing management accounts
\n - \n
Supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
\n - \n
Working across a varied portfolio of OMB and SME clients
\n - \n
Liaising with clients and building confidence in a client-facing role
\n - \n
Supporting tax work where appropriate
\n - \n
Using CaseWare and Xero as the main systems
\n - \n
Managing deadlines and delivering accurate, high-quality work
\n
What They're Looking For
\nThe firm is looking for someone with solid practice experience, a willingness to learn and the interpersonal skills to work well with clients and colleagues alike.
\nYou will ideally have:
\n- \n
- \n
Part-qualified ACA or ACCA status
\n - \n
Experience in both accounts preparation and audit within practice
\n - \n
Some knowledge of FRS 102
\n - \n
Experience preparing statutory or management accounts
\n - \n
Good communication and organisational skills
\n - \n
Experience using CaseWare and Xero would be beneficial
\n - \n
Tax experience would be an advantage
\n - \n
A personable, professional and collaborative approach
\n
Why Apply?
\nThis firm offers something increasingly rare in the London market: the size and client base of a Top 100 practice, while still allowing people to develop as genuine all-round advisers.
\nThe progression path is clear and direct:
\nSemi-Senior Senior Manager Partner Designate Partner
\nYou will also benefit from:
\n- \n
- \n
Competitive salary + bonus + benefits
\n - \n
Hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week in the Central London office
\n - \n

\n - \n
Clear long-term progression
\n - \n
A friendly, personable and client-focused culture
