\nFirst Achieve Engineering is supporting a global engineering manufacturer specialising in ad
\nvanced thermal processing and controlled atmosphere equipment used in highly regulated and
\ndemanding industries.
\nWith over 50 years of technical expertise and part of a larger international engineering group
\n, our client designs, builds, installs and commissions bespoke capital equipment systems worl
\ndwide.
\nThey are now seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join their UK-
\nbased engineering team.
\n\nThe Role
\nThis position will involve:
\n* Supervising installation contractors on customer sites
\n* Overseeing mechanical & electrical installation of capital equipment
\n* Leading site acceptance testing (SAT)
\n* Supporting commissioning activities
\n* Carrying out service and fault-finding work when required
\n\nThis role is ideal for someone with an electro-
\nmechanical maintenance background looking to transition into installation and commissionin
\ng within a specialist engineering environment.
\n\nTravel Requirements
\n* UK & international travel required
\n\n\n* Monday-Friday site-based work when outside commuting distance
\n* Overseas assignments may last up to 4-5 weeks
\n* Extended travel beyond this would be agreed in advance
\n* International workload shared across the engineering team
\n\nEssential Experience & Skills
\n* Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification (C&G or equivalent)
\n* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
\n* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
\n* Fault finding on mechanical assemblies, drives, pumps etc.
\n* Experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic, water & electrical systems
\n* Working knowledge of:
\n* Temperature control instrumentation
\n* Inverters
\n* PLCs
\n* HMIs
\n* Experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
\n* PLC fault-finding capability
\n* Competent with Microsoft Office
\n\nDesirable (Not Essential - Training Provided)
\n* Experience with vacuum systems or thermal processing equipment
\n* 18th Edition (BS7671)
\n* C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing
\n* Ability to modify PLC programs under engineering instruction
