Temporary Management Accountant
Job Description
A growing organisation within the manufacturing and production sector, based in Cannock, is seeking a proactive and commercially focused Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function.
\nOur client is a well established UK manufacturer located in the Cannock area, known for delivering high quality, technically specialised products to a diverse customer base.
\nThe Management Accountant reporting to the Finance Director, will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight and supporting operational teams across the production environment. Responsibilities include:

Producing monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and variance analysis
\n - \n
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term inancial planning
\n - \n
Analysing production costs, stock movements, WIP, and margin performance
\n - \n
Managing and reviewing standard costing, including updates, variance investigation, and cost build accuracy
\n - \n
Supporting the development and application of activity based costing (ABC) to improve cost visibility and decision making
\n - \n
Business partnering with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
\n - \n
Monitoring cost saving initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies
\n - \n
Maintaining and improving financial controls across the production cycle
\n - \n
Enhancing reporting tools and dashboards, with a focus on Sage 200 data integrity
\n - \n
Supporting year end processes, external audits, and statutory requirements
\n
The most desirable Management Accountant will:
\n- \n
- \n
Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
\n - \n
Proven experience within a manufacturing and production environment
\n - \n
Strong working knowledge of Sage 200 and its reporting capabilities
\n - \n
Hands-on experience with standard costing and exposure to activity-based costing (ABC)
\n
Upto £45000 (dependant on experiance)
