Job Description
Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a long-established precision engineering manufacturer in Stockport. The business continues to invest in modern machining technology and is now looking to appoint an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Machinist to support ongoing production demands.

Confident interpreting engineering drawings
\n - \n
Skilled in CNC mill-turn machining – setting, operating, editing and proving out programs
\n - \n
Competent using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring tools
\n - \n
Strong understanding of tolerances, machining principles and multi-axis operations
\n - \n
High attention to detail with a proactive, team-focused approach
\n - \n
Self-motivated, reliable and committed to producing quality work
\n - \n
Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
\n - \n
Minimum 5 years’ CNC machining experience
\n - \n
Experience in oil & gas or heavy engineering beneficial but not essential
\n - \n
Experience with Fanuc controls and mill-turn centres advantageous
\n

Set up and operate CNC mill-turn machines
\n - \n
Produce complex components to drawing specifications and quality standards
\n - \n
Carry out self-inspection throughout the machining process
\n - \n
Optimise tooling, speeds and feeds for efficient machining
\n - \n
Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks
\n
