£45,000-£48,000 - Days - Wrexham

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established packaging manufacturer looking to add a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to their close-knit engineering team. This is a days based position, working Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays (6 hours), with time off in lieu during the following week.

Supplying bespoke packaging solutions to customers across a wide range of industries, the business has continued to invest in its production facilities, equipment and engineering function, creating a stable manufacturing environment with a strong order book.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of machinery, ensuring high levels of reliability, minimising downtime and supporting ongoing engineering improvements.

The Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

• Reacting quickly to breakdowns on production machinery

• Reading and following engineering drawings
\n
• Completing planned preventative maintenance during the scheduled shift
\n
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and basic electrical faults on production equipment.
\n
• Stripping, repairing and rebuilding mechanical assemblies.
\n
• Maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems (e.g conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts and motors)

• Carrying out machine adjustments, changeovers and equipment improvements to improve reliability.
