We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Care Home Manager to lead a newly opened, high-quality care home. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care, building high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. You will have full responsibility for the performance, culture, compliance, and commercial success of the home, ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

Leadership & Culture

• Lead by example, promoting professionalism, compassion, and accountability.

• Build, develop, and motivate a committed, values-driven team.

• Establish clear standards, expectations, and operational processes across the home.
\n

Quality & Compliance

\n
• Take full responsibility for CQC compliance and inspection readiness.
\n
• Ensure the service remains safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.
\n
• Implement robust governance, auditing, and quality assurance processes.
\n
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain outstanding care standards.
\n

People Management

\n
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff.
\n
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels, rota management, and skill mix.
\n
• Manage performance effectively, supporting development while addressing issues promptly.
\n
• Identify and nurture future leaders within the service.
\n

Commercial & Operational Management

\n
• Drive occupancy growth and support long-term sustainability.
\n
• Manage budgets, costs, and overall financial performance.
\n
• Ensure efficient day-to-day operations while maintaining exceptional care standards.
\n
• Balance commercial objectives with positive resident outcomes.
\n

Clinical Oversight

\n
• Support and oversee high standards of clinical care and governance.
\n
• Provide leadership to nursing and care teams.
\n
• Ensure safe medication management and effective care delivery.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications

\n
• Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or managing a large care service.
\n
• Demonstrable track record of improving and maintaining occupancy.
\n
• Experience leading services through CQC inspections with positive outcomes.
\n
• Experience managing nurses and clinical teams.
\n
• Strong leadership experience managing large staff teams.
\n
• Ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
\n
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Strong operational, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Stable employment history demonstrating commitment and progression.
\n

Desirable Qualifications

\n
• Experience commissioning or opening a new care home.
\n
• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN).
\n
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
\n
