We're looking for a Visiting & Tenancy Sustainment Officer to become the friendly face of our Housing Service and help our residents thrive in their homes and communities.

This isn't your average housing role. You'll be out and about, meeting residents in their homes, building meaningful relationships, identifying support needs, promoting safety, and helping people sustain successful tenancies. Every day will be different, and every interaction could change someone's life.

Role: Visiting and Tenancy Sustainment Officer

\n

Location: Wembley, HA9

\n

Payrate: £20.08 p/h PAYE - £26.62 p/h Umbrella

\n

Contract: Initially 3 months

\n

Working mode: You must be able to drive and have a car as this is a site based, there is a minimal working from home but there is an opportunity to do this occasionally

What You'll Be Doing\n

As a Visiting & Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you'll be:

Supporting residents in their homes

\n

  • Carrying out home visits to some of our most vulnerable residents
  • \n
  • Building trusted relationships and identifying support needs
  • \n
  • Providing advice, guidance and practical solutions
  • \n
\n

Making a positive difference

\n
    \n
  • Identifying safeguarding concerns and connecting residents with the right services
  • \n
  • Supporting residents facing financial, health, wellbeing or tenancy challenges
  • \n
  • Helping people maintain safe, successful and sustainable tenancies
  • \n
\n

Promoting safety first

\n
    \n
  • Undertaking home safety checks and dynamic risk assessments
  • \n
  • Promoting fire safety awareness and testing alarms where required
  • \n
  • Identifying property concerns including damp, mould, disrepair and maintenance issues
  • \n
\n

Working collaboratively

\n
    \n
  • Partnering with tenancy, repairs, safeguarding and support teams
  • \n
  • Referring residents to specialist services including employment support, financial inclusion and occupational therapy
  • \n
  • Contributing to service improvements and resident engagement initiatives
  • \n
\n

Using data to improve services

\n
    \n
  • Capturing accurate household information
  • \n
  • Helping shape future housing services through resident feedback and insight
  • \n
  • Maintaining high-quality records and case notes
  • \n

You'll also bring:

Experience working with residents, customers or service users

\n

Knowledge of social housing and housing management services

\n

The ability to communicate confidently and compassionately with people from all backgrounds

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload

A proactive, solution-focused mindset

\n

Confidence using technology and recording accurate information

\n

The ability to work independently while building effective partnerships

\n

A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and resident-focused services

Essential Requirements\n
    \n
  • Understanding of social housing and resident services
  • \n
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and landlord responsibilities
  • \n
  • CIH Level 3 qualification (or equivalent housing management experience)
  • \n
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Knowledge of health, welfare, fire safety and employment-related matters
  • \n
  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements
  • \n
  • Experience working within a local authority, housing organisation or similar environment
  • \n
  • Experience supporting residents, customers or vulnerable individuals
  • \n
