Senior Associate – Commercial & Residential Property

Location: Crowborough, East Sussex

The Opportunity

A long-established and highly respected Sussex law firm is seeking an experienced Property Lawyer to join its practice at Senior Associate level, with genuine scope to progress to Partner.

This is a strategic hire for a commercially minded lawyer who wants to play a key role in shaping and expanding both the firm’s commercial and residential property offering. The role offers real influence, leadership responsibility and long-term career progression within a collaborative and friendly environment.

The Role

You will manage a diverse and high-quality caseload across both commercial and residential property, including:

• Acquisitions and disposals
\n
• Commercial and residential leases
\n
• Development matters
\n
• Residential transactions
\n
• Drafting and negotiating complex documentation
\n

In addition to fee-earning, you will:

\n
• Build and maintain strong client and referrer relationships
\n
• Take an active role in business development and networking
\n
• Support, mentor and supervise junior lawyers
\n
• Contribute to departmental strategy and growth
\n
• Ensure high standards of compliance and client care
\n

About You

This role would suit a Senior Associate or Partner-level lawyer who can demonstrate:

• Strong technical expertise across commercial and residential property
\n
• Proven experience managing a broad, complex caseload
\n
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
\n
• A commercial, client-focused approach
\n
• Confidence leading matters and advising at a senior level
\n
• A proactive mindset toward growth, networking and business development
\n

Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
