\nKey Responsibilities:

- Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives across distribution and power transformer product ranges. \n
- Support Regional and National Sales Managers in generating leads, progressing opportunities and securing new business. \n
- Review and agree customer visit plans. \n
- Promote and drive effective CRM utilisation across the sales team. \n
- Take ownership of sales order targets, pipeline management and KPI delivery. \n
- Utilise market and business data to forecast orders and set performance goals. \n
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers, negotiating and closing major contracts. \n
- Identify opportunities to grow market share and penetrate new markets. \n
- Foster collaboration between sales, engineering, marketing and commercial functions. \n
- Build strategic customer relationships to identify future sales opportunities and long-term partnerships. \n
- Refocus and align team activities to meet evolving business priorities and sales targets. \n
- Develop and implement new sales initiatives, programmes and strategies. \n
- Ensure adherence to agreed sales processes. \n
- Produce monthly sales performance reports for senior leadership. \n
- Remove barriers to winning new business. \n
- Monitor and review strategic account plans. \n
- Ensure timely follow-up of marketing-generated leads. \n
- Lead regular sales meetings, sharing information and managing feedback. \n
- Chair and participate in relevant sales meetings, providing direction and support. \n
- Act as a proactive problem solver and prioritise business-critical challenges. \n
- Monitor competitor activity, products and market developments. \n
- Attend and present at industry events, exhibitions and technical seminars across the UK and internationally where required. \n
- Direct line management responsibility for relevant sales personnel. \n
- Lead, mentor and develop team members. \n
- Clearly communicate business goals and individual responsibilities. \n
- Conduct regular one-to-one performance reviews. \n
- Establish accountability and ensure employees understand performance expectations. \n
Beneficial Skills / Experience:
\n- \n
- A proven technical sales background (10+ years) within the Electrical Power Supply sector or a related technical manufacturing environment. \n
- Experience at a senior sales leadership level. \n
- A track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets. \n
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills. \n
- Experience managing departmental budgets. \n
- Proven leadership and people management capability. \n
- A proactive, positive and forward-thinking approach. \n
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and occasionally internationally. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and decision-making abilities. \n
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (desirable). \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
