Finance Manager
Job Description
Finance Manager ready to become Financial Controller?
\nCentral London | £70,000 - £85,000 + Benefits
\nYou've built strong technical foundations.
\nYou're increasingly partnering with senior stakeholders.
\nYou're ready for broader responsibility...
\n...but perhaps your current business can't offer it.
\nIf you're looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely influence a growing business, not simply produce month-end reports, this could be exactly what you've been waiting for.
\nWe're partnering with a successful, privately-owned consultancy business that's entering an exciting phase of growth. With ambitious plans for the future, they're looking for someone who wants to become far more than "the finance person."
\nWorking alongside an experienced Fractional CFO, you'll quickly become a trusted member of the senior leadership team, helping shape commercial decisions, strengthen the finance function and, over time, develop into the company's Finance Director.
\nThis isn't just another Financial Controller role.
\nIt's an opportunity to:
\n- \n
- Take ownership of the finance function within a growing consultancy. \n
- Partner directly with the owners and senior leadership team. \n
- Influence strategic decision-making through meaningful commercial insight. \n
- Improve systems, reporting and financial processes. \n
- Mentor and develop a small finance team. \n
- Build a finance function capable of supporting the next stage of the company's growth. \n
We'd love to hear from you if you...
\n- \n
- Are ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or approaching qualification). \n
- Have experience producing management accounts, budgeting and forecasting. \n
- Enjoy improving systems and finding smarter ways of working. \n
- Naturally build relationships with non-finance colleagues. \n
- Have experience within consultancy, recruitment, professional services, agencies, project-led businesses or another commercially focused SME. \n
- Want broader responsibility and genuine long-term career progression. \n
Perhaps you're already a Finance Manager who's taken on far more responsibility than your title suggests.
\nOr maybe you're operating as the number two in finance, reporting into a CFO or Finance Director, and you're ready to step into a broader leadership role.
\nEither way, if you're ambitious, commercially minded and excited by the prospect of growing alongside a business, we'd love to hear from you.
\n\nWhy join?
\nThis is a business where finance is viewed as a genuine commercial partner, not simply a reporting function.
\nYou'll be trusted, supported and given the opportunity to develop into a Finance Director as the organisation continues its exciting growth journey.
\nIf you're looking for a role where your contribution will genuinely shape the future of a business, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.
\n.
\n\n\nWe do our best to reply to EVERY application!
\nWe have been candidates too and we work hard to treat you in the same way that we would want to be treated. Therefore, we try not to rely on a generic advert disclaimer as this is something that is important for us and the businesses we partner with.
\nGiven the high volume of responses we receive from the combination of job boards, social media and other sources and despite our best efforts, many of our responses will be via email as we simply can’t call every application - We know that may not quite what you want to hear but we hope you’ll understand and that you like our approach.
\nWe work with great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes us, and our clients stronger, more creative and ultimately better at what we all do.
\nShort-listed candidates will obviously be contacted for this specific role and, regardless of the outcome of this process, feel free to ustilise the ‘job seeker resources’ on our website.
