Air Export / Pricing Operator - Manchester - Freight Forwarding

Location: Manchester Airport

Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

An established international freight forwarding and logistics business is looking to recruit an experienced Air Export & Pricing Executive to join its growing Manchester Airport team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced operation where you'll be responsible for managing air export shipments from start to finish while supporting customers with competitive pricing and exceptional service.

• Manage end-to-end international air export shipments.
\n
• Arrange airline bookings and monitor shipments through to final delivery.
\n
• Prepare and issue all required export and customs documentation.
\n
• Produce accurate and competitive freight quotations.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents, airlines and suppliers.
\n
• Ensure shipments are handled efficiently and in compliance with customs, aviation security and industry regulations.
\n
• Proactively resolve operational issues while keeping customers informed throughout the shipment process.
\n
• Work closely with colleagues across operations and commercial teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
\n

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience within air freight forwarding.
\n
• Proven experience managing end-to-end air export operations.
\n
• A good understanding of international air freight procedures and documentation.
\n
• Commercial awareness with experience preparing quotations and negotiating rates.
\n
• Experience using CargoWise is advantageous but not essential.
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple shipments.
\n
• A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n
