Buyer – Up to £55,000 Per Annum – Daventry

\n

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm – Permanent

\n

Macildowie Procurement has exclusively partnered with a reputable and global manufacturing business based in Daventry to recruit a Buyer.

\n

The key objectives are to operate in a transactional and reactive environment, supporting the Senior Buyer and leading with the day-to-day procurement duties. Carrying out duties such as raising PO's, forecasting, on-boarding new suppliers and ensuring that suppliers are compliant.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure stock availability aligns with the production schedule.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Assist in future demand planning based on seasonal activities.
  • \n
  • Provide input on projected inventory and availability levels, raising alerts for potential issues.
  • \n
  • Ensure accurate visibility on planned product arrivals for assigned SKUs.
  • \n
  • Manage and conduct tendering processes.
  • \n
  • Raise routine purchase orders for production stock and ad hoc requirements, focusing on best quality, price, and delivery.
  • \n
  • Review stock shortage reports and complete necessary actions to avoid production shortages, including communication with vendors, production and the warehouse.
  • \n
  • Manage freight and monitor/expedite order deliveries, reporting any supplier delivery issues.
  • \n
  • Maintain and optimise the purchasing relationship with suppliers, ensuring materials meet specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.

The Candidate

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience operating in a Buyer, Purchasing or Supply Chain position.
  • \n
  • Able to travel to Daventry.
  • \n
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • \n
\n
