\n\n Location: Wirral (Community-Based Role)Salary: £31,000 per annum + travel expenses (beyond base location) About the Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and proactive IPS (Individual placement and support) Employment Specialist to help individuals with health conditions, disabilities, or other barriers sustain and progress in employment. This is a rewarding, community-based role where you'll work directly with employees and employers, providing tailored support that enables people to thrive in the workplace, develop their careers, and achieve long-term employment success. You'll combine coaching, employer engagement, advocacy, and problem-solving skills to create positive outcomes for both individuals and businesses. - Provide ongoing one-to-one support to individuals in employment, helping them overcome workplace challenges and achieve their career goals. \n
- Develop personalised action plans focused on job retention, wellbeing, confidence, and progression. \n
- Monitor progress and adapt support to meet changing needs. \n
- \n
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with employers across the Wirral area. \n
- Promote inclusive employment practices and workplace adjustments where appropriate. \n
- Work collaboratively with employers to support positive employment outcomes. \n
- \n
- Act as a trusted advocate for individuals, ensuring they have access to the support and resources needed to succeed. \n
- Empower customers to build resilience, confidence, and independence in the workplace. \n
- Support individuals to identify training, development, and career progression opportunities. \n
- \n
- Identify potential barriers to sustained employment and intervene proactively. \n
- Signpost and refer individuals to appropriate specialist services where required. \n
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate effective support solutions. \n
- \n
- Keep accurate, timely, and compliant records of all customer interactions and outcomes. \n
- Manage a varied caseload effectively while meeting service targets and quality standards. \n
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and best practice. \n

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- A compassionate, person-centred approach. \n
- Strong coaching, motivational, and relationship-building abilities. \n
- The ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritise effectively. \n

- Strong organisational and administrative skills. \n
- The ability to work independently across a community-based setting. \n
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. \n

- Experience within employability, supported employment, welfare-to-work, careers guidance, or vocational rehabilitation. \n
- Knowledge of workplace wellbeing, disability inclusion, or reasonable adjustments. \n
- Understanding of benefits, health-related employment support, or vocational services. \n
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, disabilities, or complex barriers to employment. \n
- Experience of employer engagement and partnership working. \n
