An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities within a busy manufacturing environment in Chesterfield. You'll be responsible for driving equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance teams, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production assets.

\nKey Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance engineers and technicians across the site. \n
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximise equipment uptime. \n
- Manage and prioritise reactive maintenance activities, ensuring production disruptions are minimised. \n
- Monitor maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Support fault-finding and technical problem-solving on manufacturing equipment. \n
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. \n
- Manage maintenance records, work orders, and engineering documentation. \n
- Assist with capital projects, equipment upgrades, and installation activities. \n
- Liaise with production and management teams to achieve operational targets. \n
- Support the development and training of maintenance personnel. \n
Profile
\nThe Successful Candidate:
\n\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader, or similar leadership role. \n
- Strong background within manufacturing, heavy engineering, foundry, or industrial environments. \n
- Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications, ideally supported by apprenticeship training. \n
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams and activities. \n
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement methodologies. \n
- Excellent communication and leadership skills. \n
- Committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance. \n
