Credit Controller

A well-established business in York is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a driven and proactive Credit Controller.

This role is a 6 month contract.

• A strong candidate for this position will need:
\n
• AAT qualified to minimum level 3 or qualified by experience
\n
• Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
\n
• Strong understanding of cash collection, aged debt management, and account reconciliation
\n
• A proactive attitude, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn
\n
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
\n

The duties of this role include:

\n
• Managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
\n
• Chasing overdue payments via phone and email in a professional manner
\n
• Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
\n
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
\n
• Building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams
\n
• Assisting with improving credit control procedures and processes
\n
