Interim Financial Controller\n

  • You need to be immediately available to start

  • Must live in (or near to) London. The role is largely remote but you need to be able to get into London with ease.
  • \n
A growing PE backed SME are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to lead finance for the UK and two overseas entities during a period of transition. This role ensures accurate reporting, audit, VAT, FRS 102 compliance, and strong financial control. As the role is mainly remote, it's ideal if you have experience in a standalone senior finance role and enjoy autonomy. There will little handover so you will need to pick up the role quickly and enjoy a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:\n

  • Lead accounting operations for the UK and two international entities.
  • \n
  • Manage month-end close and prepare accurate financial reports.
  • \n
  • Coordinate statutory audits
  • \n
  • Oversee VAT/statutory filings and treasury operations across Europe.
  • \n
  • Partner on cash forecasting and intercompany activity.
  • \n
  • Support Sage Intacct–Salesforce integration and drive process improvements.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with international teams to enhance close and reporting cycles.
  • \n
What You Bring\n
    \n
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Experience in controllership roles and VAT.
  • \n
  • Experience with FRS 102 audits. It is helpful, although not necessary, to have US GAAP.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication.
  • \n
  • Ability to step in quickly and take ownership with minimal handover.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Excel and working with multiple sources of data.
  • \n
  • It is helpful if you have used Sage Intacct
  • \n
