Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Senior Electrical Design EngineerLocation: RugeleySalary: £DOE

Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client based in Rugeley, with flexible hybrid working available.

In this role, you will play a key part in designing and developing electrical systems for cutting-edge defence programmes, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions from concept through to implementation.

What you will be doing:

\n
• Designing and developing detailed electrical schematics and system designs
\n
• Producing and capturing electrical requirements and technical documentation
\n
• Selecting cables, protection devices and electrical components
\n
• Reviewing and approving electrical designs to ensure compliance with industry standards
\n
• Analysing and optimising electrical systems for performance, safety and reliability
\n
• Supporting engineering projects throughout the full design lifecycle
\n
• Collaborating with engineering, project and wider technical teams
\n
• Participating in technical reviews, customer meetings and design discussions
\n

What we are looking for:

\n
• HNC (or above) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
\n
• Experience designing electrical systems and producing electrical schematics
\n
• Knowledge of electrical standards and best engineering practice
\n
• Experience specifying electrical components and reviewing designs
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
\n
• A proactive, adaptable approach with excellent problem-solving skills
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Experience using Zuken E3
\n
• Knowledge of electronic systems
\n
• Previous experience within defence, maritime, aerospace or other highly regulated engineering environments
\n
