The Opportunity\nOur client is an established and highly respected precision engineering company based in Southall, currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Programmer, Setter and Operator with strong FANUC experience and a background working on both manual and CNC machinery. The successful candidate will be confident working on turning lathes and vertical milling machines, producing high-quality components to exact customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Program, set and operate CNC turning and milling machines using FANUC controls. \n
- Work on both manual and CNC machinery within a precision engineering environment. \n
- Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings accurately. \n
- Perform drilling, grooving, cutting and turning operations to tight tolerances. \n
- Conduct first-off and final inspections to ensure components meet drawing specifications. \n
- Complete production records and quality documentation accurately. \n
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting. \n
- Manage workloads effectively to ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard. \n
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment. \n

- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator. \n
- Strong hands-on experience with FANUC control systems. \n
- Experience working on both manual and CNC machines. \n
- Knowledge of turning lathes and vertical milling machines. \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. \n
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Good communication and organisational skills. \n

- Experience with CAD design software. \n
- Knowledge of CAM programming and programme importing. \n
- Additional experience within precision engineering or high-tolerance manufacturing environments. \n

- Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. \n
