Warehouse SupervisorLocation: Newark (NG22)Salary: £16.82 per hourHours: 8.30am - 17.30pm - Monday to Friday Temporary ongoing role with the potential to become permanent after 12 successful weeksThe Role We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, safety, quality and service standards are consistently achieved. This role requires someone who can motivate a team, manage daily warehouse activities and support operational performance while maintaining high standards of compliance. A Reach Truck License with experience would be preferred. Key Responsibilities\n

- Supervise and support a small team of warehouse operatives across daily operations. \n
- Allocate workloads and monitor productivity to ensure customer deadlines are met. \n
- Lead by example, working alongside the team when required. \n
- Operate FLT safely and efficiently. \n
- Carry out goods-in, goods-out and stock movement activities. \n
- Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management. \n
- Conduct daily team briefings and communicate operational priorities. \n
- Monitor attendance, performance and timekeeping. \n
- Provide coaching, training and support to new and existing employees. \n
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times. \n
- Complete accident, incident and near-miss reporting where required. \n
- Liaise with Warehouse Management regarding staffing levels, workflow and operational issues. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste. \n
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the warehouse. \n
- Complete relevant paperwork and system updates accurately. \n

- Previous experience supervising a warehouse or logistics team. \n
- Valid Reach in date external FLT licence with experience \n
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations. \n
- Excellent people management and communication skills. \n
- Ability to motivate and develop teams. \n
- Good organisational and planning skills. \n
- Experience working to KPIs and productivity targets. \n
- Good IT skills, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). \n
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety legislation. \n
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively. \n
