Group Finance AssociateLocation: Central London (4 days office / 1 day working from home)Type: PermanentSalary: £60,000 - £65,000Overview Due to continued growth, our client, a leading investment management business is seeking a qualified accountant to join its Group Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance function, offering exposure to a broad range of financial reporting and group accounting activities.Key Responsibilities\n

- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts using Microsoft Dynamics, including balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Support core financial processes, including reviewing bank reconciliations, staff expenses, corporate travel, credit card journals and other finance activities as required. \n
- Liaise with external payroll providers to ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time, including preparing payroll schedules, reviewing payroll reports, posting payroll journals and maintaining monthly staff cost schedules. \n
- Prepare pension and Share Incentive Plan (SIP) contribution schedules. \n
- Reconcile payroll deductions against benefit provider statements and invoices. \n
- Maintain and reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts, including payroll control, pension, PAYE, payroll deductions, SIP contributions, Performance Share Plan (PSP) balances and season ticket loans. \n
- Review management accounts expense schedules. \n
- Update and reconcile balance sheet accounts across group entities, particularly those relating to expenses, accruals, prepayments and payroll. \n
- Prepare Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) remuneration disclosures. \n
- Produce employment data reporting, including FTE analysis and leavers/joiners reporting. \n
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for group entities. \n
- Assist with statutory audits and support external auditors as required. \n
- Provide proactive support across the wider Finance team on both planned and ad hoc projects. \n
- \n
- Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role \n
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying and implementing process efficiencies. \n
- Flexibility to support colleagues across the Finance team. \n
