\n
• Patrol busy city centre locations, engaging with residents, businesses and visitors while reporting any issues through the appropriate channels.
\n
• Welcome and assist performers, artists, festival-goers and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
\n
• Provide information on Edinburgh's festivals, attractions, venues, transport and public facilities.
\n
• Assist with directions and general enquiries, delivering excellent customer service.
\n
• Help create a positive, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the festival season.
\n
• Represent the City's values of respect, flexibility and integrity at all times.
\n
• Work closely with Police Scotland, Council teams and other key stakeholders to support a coordinated approach during the festivals.
\n
• Respond professionally to enquiries, concerns and complaints from members of the public and local businesses.
\n
• Record incidents, visitor feedback and interactions using the appropriate reporting systems.
\n
• Support promotional and social media activities where required.
\n

The successful candidate will have:\n

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• A friendly, approachable and confident manner when engaging with the public.
\n
• Good knowledge of Edinburgh and enthusiasm for the city's festivals, culture and attractions.
\n
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and web-based applications.
\n
• The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with complaints or challenging situations.
\n
• A proactive, reliable and adaptable approach.
\n
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
\n
• An understanding of GDPR and handling confidential or sensitive information.
