Locum Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Acute Inpatient - Birmingham

Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a busy inpatient team in Birmingham, supporting the assessment and discharge planning of complex and frail adults.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an OT with strong acute experience to contribute to a supportive service focused on safe and effective patient discharge.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and treatment, with a strong focus on discharge planning for complex and frail adult patients. The role is primarily based at one inpatient site in Birmingham, with occasional cross-site cover required as part of the post.

• Assessment and treatment of complex adult inpatients
\n
• Comprehensive discharge planning and coordination
\n
• Undertaking access visits within the community
\n
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
\n
• Managing a varied inpatient caseload
\n

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
\n
• Previous experience working in inpatient hospital settings
\n
• Proven experience in discharge planning
\n
• Car driver essential for access visits
\n
• Experience using RIO patient record system desirable
\n
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
\n

• Location: Birmingham
\n
• Start Date: ASAP
\n
• Duration: Up to 8 weeks, with potential extension
\n
• Hours: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
\n
• Working Pattern: Full-time preferred; part-time considered
\n
