Project Manager

Senior Project Manager needed for an initial 6-month engagement with our Consultancy client in London. The role will involve 2-3-days per week onsite in London and requires a strong Senior Project Manager with a background delivering major projects within both Financial Services and Public Sector environments.

The role will involve leading the delivery of a key regulatory project for their end-client, coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders to ensure it achieves its objectives within agreed timescales, budget and governance requirements. The role will be responsible for driving delivery discipline, maintaining oversight of risks, dependencies and milestones, managing the project finances and ensuring effective project/programme governance and reporting.

The role requires candidates to engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella company. Candidates will be required to work onsite in London 2-3 days per week.

• Extensive demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering Business / Regulatory focussed projects within Financial Services environments.

• Experience creating, owning and maintaining detailed delivery plans, ensuring alignment across all workstreams and dependencies.
\n
• Experience coordinating delivery activities across internal teams, external suppliers and senior stakeholders to ensure progress against key milestones.
\n
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective governance arrangements, including preparation of programme board papers, reporting packs, decision logs and escalation materials with support from PMO, project management and project/business leads
\n
• Monitoring project & programme risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and actions, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
\n
• Experience facilitating project board meetings, working groups and stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear outcomes and accountability.
\n
• Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects to time and budget, ensuring project delivery remains aligned to agreed projects outcomes.
\n
• Experience working closely with the Senior Programme Manager and workstream leads to drive pace, coordination and successful delivery across the project.
\n
• Previous Financial Services experience and knowledge or experience within the Public Sector is essential and previous Consultancy experience would be beneficial.
