Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a growing organisation on an initial 6 month fixed term contract for an immediate start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to play a key role during a period of finance transformation, supporting year-end audit activity, strengthening financial controls and improving reporting processes across the business.

You'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact whilst enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote role.

Reporting into the senior finance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a key contact for external auditors and coordinating audit requirements.
\n
• Preparing and reviewing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
\n
• Reviewing and improving balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Investigating and resolving historic balance sheet items.
\n
• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
\n
• Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and compliance requirements.
\n
• Supporting finance transformation and continuous process improvement initiatives.
\n
• Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the business.
\n

We're keen to hear from candidates who are:

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
\n
• Currently working within audit, accounts or financial reporting
\n
• Technically strong, with a sound understanding of statutory reporting and financial controls.
\n
• Experienced in supporting external audits and maintaining strong balance sheet controls.
\n
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a remote environment.
\n
• Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience of accounting or ERP systems.
\n

• Salary up to £70,000.
