We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a reputable professional services firm within the Accounting & Finance department. This position is based in Bristol and requires a strong understanding of audit processes and financial reporting.

  • Plan, execute, and finalise audit engagements for a Charities,
  • \n
  • Leading planning and clearance meetings with clients;
  • \n
  • from planning through to completion, under the supervision of managers and partners;
  • \n
  • Preparing charity SORP accounts as part of the audit/IE assignment;
  • \n
  • Opportunity to take a manager role (reporting direct to partner) on a portfolio of independent examination clients (subject to experience);
  • \n
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.
  • \n
  • Opportunity to carry out ad hoc consultancy projects for clients, for example, trustee training, grant audits, VAT reviews, accounting system implementation and virtual FD work (subject to experience).
  • \n
  • Identify and communicate audit findings and recommend process improvements.
  • \n
  • Supervising trainees, and providing training, development and mentoring to them;
  • \n
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards throughout projects.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with clients to address queries and provide tailored solutions.
  • \n
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit strategies and methodologies.
  • \n
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards within the professional services industry.
  • \n

Profile

\n

A successful Audit Senior should have:

\n
    \n
  • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of audit procedures and financial reporting standards.
  • \n
  • Charity Audit Expereince
  • \n
  • Experience working within the professional services industry.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to mentor and support junior team members.
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • \n

Job Offer

\n
    \n
  • Competitive salary in the range of £43,000-£46,000, depending on experience.
  • \n
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus, typically between 5% to 10% of salary.
  • \n
  • Universal Christmas bonus, typically around £500.
