Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established business in a key finance role.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the month-end process and play a central role in ensuring robust financial control across the organisation. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a high-volume environment while driving continuous improvement and supporting operational teams

• Own the month-end close process
\n
• Prepare management accounts with supporting analysis
\n
• Maintain full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and controls
\n
• Manage the fixed asset register
\n
• Support and coordinate the external audit process
\n
• Handle complex reconciliations, including online sales and VAT-related items
\n
• Act as a key finance contact for queries and problem-solving
\n
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight
\n
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
\n
• Support wider finance team activities and continuous improvement initiatives
\n

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or finalist
\n
• Strong experience in management accounting and month-end processes
\n
• Experience working in high-volume, transactional environments (multi-site, retail or distribution advantageous)
\n
• Advanced Excel and strong systems/ERP experience
\n
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage across the business
\n
• Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused
