Job Description
A well-established London property business is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Real Estate Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with strong commercial property experience to work across a diverse real estate portfolio, including commercial, residential and hotel assets. You will provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice across acquisitions, disposals, leasing, property disputes and wider commercial matters. Reporting to the Senior Solicitor, you will play a key role in supporting the business’s ongoing property investment, development and asset-management activity.Responsibilities will include:\n

- Advising on commercial real estate transactions, including property acquisitions, disposals, asset purchases and corporate acquisitions. \n
- Supporting property development and investment projects from a legal perspective. \n
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial leases and associated property documentation. \n
- Managing landlord and tenant matters, including disputes and real estate litigation. \n
- Negotiating and drafting supplier, commercial and operational contracts. \n
- Providing clear, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across the business. \n
- Managing external advisers where required and ensuring legal matters are dealt with efficiently and cost-effectively. \n
- Supporting on ad-hoc legal projects across the wider property portfolio. \n

- A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in commercial real estate. \n
- Experienced in commercial property transactions, including sales and acquisitions. \n
- Confident handling landlord and tenant matters, commercial lease negotiations and property disputes. \n
- Strong in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. \n
- Commercially astute, pragmatic and able to balance legal risk with business objectives. \n
- An excellent communicator, able to build relationships with both internal stakeholders and external advisers. \n
- Organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. \n

- Salary of £80,000–£90,000, depending on experience. \n
- Hybrid working – four days per week in the Canary Wharf office and one day from home. \n
- 25 days’ annual leave, plus the option to purchase up to five additional days. \n
