Our client is a long-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants with a strong reputation for providing high-quality compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals across South Yorkshire. They are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team. Key Responsibilities\n

- Managing a portfolio of weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls. \n
- Processing payrolls accurately from start to finish for a varied client base. \n
- Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and other family-related payments. \n
- Administering workplace pension auto-enrolment and pension submissions. \n
- Preparing payroll reports, journals and electronic payslips. \n
- Submitting RTI returns and ensuring HMRC deadlines are met. \n
- Responding to payroll queries from clients in a professional and timely manner. \n
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring ongoing compliance. \n
- Assisting with year-end payroll procedures and related reporting. \n
- Supporting the wider accounts team where appropriate. \n

- Previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau. \n
- Confident processing multiple client payrolls with varying pay frequencies. \n
- Good working knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and workplace pensions. \n
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. \n
- Comfortable managing deadlines across a busy client portfolio. \n
- Friendly and professional communication skills with a client-focused approach. \n
- Experience of payroll software and Microsoft Excel. \n
- CIPP qualification would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
