Orka Financial are working with a well established business, who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to gain broad exposure across finance operations within a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily timesheet process, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time.
  • \n
  • Produce month-end timesheet and management reports.
  • \n
  • Process and code supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisation procedures are followed.
  • \n
  • Manage supplier payments and resolve invoice-related queries.
  • \n
  • Process employee expense claims.
  • \n
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • \n
  • Ensure client-related costs and disbursements are accurately recorded and recharged.
  • \n
  • Raise and issue client invoices in a timely manner.
  • \n
  • Post daily cash receipts and maintain accurate sales ledger records.
  • \n
  • Handle client billing and invoice queries.
  • \n
  • Prepare and distribute monthly cost reports to Partners to support billing activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain and update client and supplier account records.
  • \n
  • Administer client money accounts, including processing receipts and payments.
  • \n
  • Reconcile petty cash and company credit card transactions.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate finance records and digital filing systems.
  • \n
  • Provide support on ad hoc finance and administrative queries.
  • \n

Key Skills & Experience

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar finance role.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • \n
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to work.
  • \n
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary: £25,000-£32,000 DOE + Further benefits and hybrid working
