Finance Officer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Salary: £28,000 to £38,000 (dependent on experience)Contract: Fixed-Term, 6 Months

We are seeking a proactive and organised Finance Officer to join an established team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong finance administration skills who enjoys working in a varied, hands-on role within a supportive environment.

This position is ideal for someone who has achieved AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) and has experience in day-to-day finance operations. The role focuses on transactional finance and does not include management accounts or profit and loss reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
\n
• Raising and processing sales invoices
\n
• Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records using Scribe accounting software
\n
• Basic bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks
\n
• Managing petty cash
\n
• Processing payroll and maintaining payroll records
\n
• Assisting with general finance administration as required
\n
• Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
\n

About You

You will have:

\n
• AAT Level 2 qualification (minimum)
\n
• Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role
\n
• Good bookkeeping knowledge and strong numerical skills
\n
• Experience with invoice processing and financial data entry
\n
• Payroll processing experience
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Good organisational and communication skills
\n
• Confidence using accounting software (experience with Scribe is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided)
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
\n
