\nJuice Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious agency based in Bath to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play an integral role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
\nThis is far more than a transactional accounts position. You'll become a trusted member of the team, helping to ensure financial accuracy, improve processes and support commercial decision-making as the business continues to grow.
\nDAY TO DAY
\nYou'll be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the finance function, including:
\n- \n
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and preparing payment runs. \n
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries. \n
- Raising client invoices promptly and accurately. \n
- Monitoring outstanding debt and professionally chasing overdue payments. \n
- Maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks. \n
- Assisting with bank reconciliations, journals and month-end processes. \n
- Supporting cashflow reporting, billing forecasts and management reporting. \n
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure purchase orders and billing information are accurate. \n
- Reconciling supplier invoices against media spend and assisting with resolving discrepancies. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and increase efficiency. \n
- Acting as a helpful and approachable finance contact across the wider business. \n
WHAT WE'D LOVE TO SEE
\n- \n
- At least two years' experience within an accounts or finance position. \n
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or Sage. \n
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. \n
- Strong organisational and time management skills. \n
- Confidence communicating with suppliers, clients and colleagues. \n
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently. \n
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA would be advantageous. \n
- Previous experience within a media agency, advertising agency or professional services environment would be beneficial but is not essential. \n
- Be able to work in the office full-time. \n
