Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our clients which specialises in general haulage deliveries.

Information about this Class 1 position:

\n
• AD HOC work (between Monday to Friday)
\n
• Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider
\n
• Completing deliveries and some collections around the South Coast area
\n
• Day and Night shifts available (10-12 hour days on average)
\n
• Pallets are loaded and unloaded for you with FLT
\n
• Night shifts include trunk runs and trailer swaps
\n
• Communicating with Transport Office, following provided routes, completing all relevant paperwork correctly
\n

Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver:

\n
• Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
\n
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
\n
• Great communication skills
\n
• Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries/ strapping
\n
• Own transport to commute to and from work
\n
• Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
\n
• Complete daily vehicle checks
\n
• Comply with the companies health and safety procedures
\n
• Record Tacho hours correctly
\n
